Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Car Loan

Good Morning, My name is Cressinda Givens, I purchased a vehicle in July 2008 and I was sold a extended vehicle protection (stated on contract) I need major work on my car and I found out that there was never a warranty put in on my car, secondly dealer advised me that someone put sugar in my tank (which is bogus) so it defeats the warranty. But I have full coverage on my car so I went to put in a claim for vandalism, but again the dealer claimed that everything was done under the table so I have no proof for that either. My car has been unoperable for about 2 months now, I paid over $9,000 for this vehilce, is there any legal advise that yo can give me? thank you very much

Re: Car Loan

Of course you can contact an attorney to seek damages based on breach of warranty, fraud, etc.

However, I would first contact the NYS Attorney General, consumer fraud division. The government may be able to intervene on your behalf.

Mike.
