College won't release transcripts for employment

I need a student copy of my transcripts for employment and the college will not release it because I have a balance on my tuition. Is there any way for me to get a copy from them legally?

Talk and talk to the school transcript or records clerk and explain that you need the transcript forwarded to obtain employment, so that you can make payment arrangements.
