Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

I have been convicted of the promotion of gambling three times, last time was in 1999. What bars to employment do I have?--specifically, can I teach at a community college as an adjunct (English instructor).

This should be posted in the criminal law section (not my field). Additionally, more info will be needed for the crim atty to answer this. Your potential employer may have a ban against convictions for felonies, but notmisdemanors, and/or a timeline of 10 years, etc.
