first, the default must be declared/ordered by the court in response to a petition by you. then it must be recorded. After that there are several options depending on whether the suit was in 'equity' or in 'law'. Were you suing for (1)money or (2)to make the defendant give you something or

(3) to make the defendant do something. the answer is different in each situation.
