Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Enforcing lien on real property to satisfy a Judgment

What is the process to enforce a lien on real property to satisfy a Judgment in the State of New York. Do the court clerk has the authority to sign a petition to enforce a lien on real property or do you have to get a signature from a Judge that awarded the Judgment. If a Judge does not respond or reach a decision within 60 days what should I do?

A judgment is automatically a lien on real property. To enforce the judgment in order to sell the real property, the judgment creditor must contact either the local Sheriff or Marshal.
