Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York
I filed a complaint with the internal affairs department against an officer that has arrested me because the charges that he arrested me for did not fulfill the elements to the laws and the felony charge was dismissed and I was released from jail. The officers entered my property without my consent and a warrant. The misdemenaor charge should also be dropped because without the felony then the lesser charge is no longer applicable however, I feel that because I filed a complaint against the officers they are upholding the misdemenanor charge because of the complaint. I am being harrassed by the officers, they are following me, coming to my home and I turn them away. they want me to ask questions about the complaint that I have filed and I am not. How do I handle this?

File another complaint alleging that the officers are coming to your home to ask questions about the complaint that you filed against them.
