forgery
ex wife in maryland got hold of a blank check from beneficial finance with my name on it. she forged my signature made it out to her and cashed it. am i responsible for the debt. i gave them a change of address 7 months prior to here getting the check and doing this.

One answer is, maybe. There are too many unknown facts to be able to answer the question better. Even if you are liable for the check in a civil suit, it doesn't change the fact she committed a crime. You should look into that issue since doing nothing about it could be construed against you, and may even appear as if you were complicit.
