Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Two Friends Fighting

I got into a fight with a friend, we were both very drunk. I bit his nose after he made comments about my wife, he then bit my finger and repeatedly kicked me in the face. I have pictures of my injuries. Does he have a case to sue me, and do I have a case to sue him? Also what would the most likely outcome be?

Re: Two Friends Fighting

Yes you both have potential lawsuits. I have no idea what will happen to them but a jury could well say "a pox on both your houses" and find for neither of you, or they could look for who started the fight and find against that person. Since it would probably be based on who threw the first punch you would get the worst of it.

Sober up, get to an AA meeting, and thank G-d you didn't get your soused rear end arrested for felony assault.
