Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

My husband is a stair builder. He built a stair for a commercial property over 10 years ago. A woman recently fell on the stairs and is now trying to sue him. The stairs is still in great condition but the lady got hurt. Can she sue him?

She can sue - but her chance of winning isn't that great. Nonetheless, the cost of litigation is high, which may be what she's counting on.

Unfortunately the Statute of Limitations for such a claim is long. She can still sue. If your insurance company allows you to choose counsel give my firm a call. I have worked with insurance companies to provide PI defense.
