Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Liability for Spouse Re: Home

My wife often drives drunk. I've tried to stop it but presently I can't. If she gets sued due to an accident, above and beyond her insurance limits, what can I do to protect my home (deed in both names). We have no joint bank accounts or jointly owned cars. If our home is not at risk, what about selling it in the future? Can a judgement be pending until she receives her ''share'' of the proceeds from the sale? How else may I protect myself? I'm at a loss for what to do.

Thank you.
