Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

I live in New York City and have lost all identification documents. I am a US citizen. My previous state id was from Nevada and now expired. How do I get id without id?

If you have any living relatives, obtain a duly certified birth certificate and proceed to the New York motor vehicles department to obtain an I.D. If you were baptized, the church where you were baptized should have your records. Obtain records from the hospital where you were borned.

Barring the above, proceed to the MV dept and inquire about how to obtain an ID. Otherwise, contact Homeland Security Office where you reside and ask for assistance.
