cannot locate established year of local car dealership
i need help, i am trying to sue a local car dealership
that happens to have several locations,i went to the local county clerks office to file my papers for suit,
but they insisted that in order for me to be sure that
upon winning the suit,i need to sue the right dealership. this dealership(koepel nissan)in queens,ny has about 5 car dealerships in the queens area. i tried calling the dealership to ask them about
the year of establishment,but the only thing that the receptionist can tell me was that it was in "the 80's"
i want to know is there any other way to search for this information without going to the county clerks office and going through the archives for the last 10-20yrs? thats a lot of work and money!! please help me if you have any other ideas on how a legal expert would research this particular needed information needed to file this civil lawsuit.

I looked it up in the NY Secretary of State internet database, which you can try also. I came up empty, although you may be spelling it incorrectly. It may be that the owner, a corporation, is using an Assumed Business Name, which should be on file in the County Clerk's office, as well as in Albany. Call the NY Department of State in Albany. I think they have a 900 number which you can make such a request and they charge you $4.
