Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York
money
I was recently involved in a currency transaction in which a friend asked me to pay a bill for her and i said I would, she gave me the money and i put it in my pocket, her brother was present. later after an argument concerning money, i declined to pay the bill and put the exact amount of money she gave me back on her table and left, at this point her brother was gone. She says i never gave it back and now claims i stole it. Am I responsible for the bill or repaying the money she says i took but never did?

Re: money
Only a court of law can make you legally obliged for that payment.
