Neighbor's wild grape vine is attacking my new fence

I just recently had a white vinyl fence installed on one side of my back yard. This was to replace a fence that had been literally brought to the ground by my neighbor's out-of-control wild grapevine. It was an ordeal just to untangle the old fence so as to make way for the new one. I've asked my neighbor twice to do something about the vines and she has refused. If I spray the vines with a chemical purchased at my local home and garden store and use it to kill the vines on her property, can she do anything about it? Should I push her to do something? If she doesn't and I don't, what can I do if the fence is ultimately damaged by the vines?

You have the right to trim the vines back to the property line. The ones completely on your property you can remove completely. I assume you built your fence on your land, but if you don't have a current survey, then be cautious.
