NJ Judgement for a non-compete upheld in NY?
Will a judgement handed down by a the NJ Superior Court to enforce a non-compete restrictive covenant with geographical restrictions of not being able to be employed within a 3 mile radius of one's prior employment be enforcable in NY when the defendant is a NY resident and the business they have gone to is also a NY business which is located in NY?

Under the doctrine of full-faith and credit, a judgment valid in one state is valid in any state.
So, yes, the New Jersey judgment can be enforced in New York. However, this is not automatic. The prevailing party (the winner) must first have the judgment "domesticated" in New York. Domestication is a fairly simple procedure involving paper work and filing fees.
