What does the PC stand for in PC attorney? What law do they practice?

P.C. means Professional Corporation. The could practice any type of law.

PC means professional corporation.

It's just the way the law firm set up it's business and is not in any way indicative of the type of law that the firm might practice.

It would make no difference if the lawyer was a sole practictioner, or a firm organized as a partnership, a limited liability partnership (LLP) or professional limited liability corporation (PLLC).

Consider they might be contacting you as a potential witness to an accident, or perhaps you witnessed a will signing. Or maybe they represent a client interested in buying your home or business. It may not necessarily be that they represent somebody who has a complaint.

In fact, many times I may need to find a witness and my search of the phone book will reveal several people with the same name. I would then proceed to call each person looking for the right individual.
