Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York
I have a person who owes me a considerable amount of money. I found out he filed bankruptcy five years ago. I am not a creditor in that case. I am told I cannot file a judgment against, or sue a person who has previously filed bankruptcy. Is this true?
