Propery damage claim against new york city

I was in an accident with a NYPD vehicle. I was issued a ticket for disobeying a stop sign. I was found not guilty at a traffic court hearing. How do I file a claim for the damage to my car (it was totaled) against the city?

You have 90 days from the date of incident to file a notice of claim. If you do not, there are other possibilities but you'll probably need a lawyer.
