sued for returned property

my ex boyfriend is suing me for a camcorder he states is worth $650.00 He gave it to me as a gift but when we broke up he wanted it back.He constantly harassed me for it by phone calls and threatened me if I didn't return it To get him off my back as per his request I left it inside his screen door in a black garbage bag hidden from view of passerbys He now claims he never got it what should i do.

Unfortunately, you are out of luck -- you have no proof that you returned it. Worst case scenario, you get sued ... is it worth his time to go to small claims court to get his money back...even if it is, ask for an arbitrator and not the judge..you may actually not be 100% liable.
