My truck fell off a lift at a repair shop. What legal obligations does the shops insurance company have whether it is totalled or repairable in New York state.

The repair shop through its insurance company has the obligation of making you whole. In other words, if you have a 2000 jeep you do not have the right to receive money for a 2010 jeep. The money received would equal the value of what you lost, a 2000 jeep.
