Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Unfair ticket

I was cruising with my kids around my neighborhood. We were calmly awaiting the light to turn green. When it did the car on a one way street was idling. I lightly tapped my horn after waiting a few seconds. The car moved forward and i was glad to proceed only to be stopped by the undercover cop who i just honked to. Guess his ego was bruised or his need to show power. I was ticketed for ''inappropriate horn honking''.. Did i do something wrong?

Re: Unfair ticket

Maybe you did. There are places that you cannot honk and you can get a ticket for excessive honking. However,I would definately fight this ticket. Get a traffic court lawyer and go to court. This does sound like a cop on an ego trip.
