Legal Question in Health Care Law in New York
next of kin or live in
My sister is up in new york , my father is in n.y. and he lives with a lady, he had 5 bypass heart surgery, and lung cancer, does the lady have the right to put on hospital papers, for them to contact her first, seeing my sister is next of kin? Thank you

I suspect that he made that decision, not her, but your sister should contact him to make sure that she is on the notification list. She might even visit him personally and thereby confirm that she will be contacted.
