Legal Question in Health Care Law in New York
Medical records removed from hospital
I recently took my wife to the emergency room she is 30 years old.Four days after this visit my father inlaws new wife, whom happens to be employeed in said hospital got a copy of my wifes medical records for that days visit and braught them home for my father inlaw to view.I'll just add he is not a doctor but she is a RN.All this was done with out my wifes permission or my own and either of us knew that this had taken place.
What legal action can be taken if any against my father inlaw and his wife for invading our medical privacy.

Why not just let common sense prevail and speak with them directly about it? Not everything in life desires or requires legal intervention.
Now, as to your direct question, who knows? It will be your apparent hearsay word against a denial.
