Legal Question in Health Care Law in New York
release of medical informtion
I am my husbands medical power of attorney, and he has also signed a release of information so I can be told his medical treament while in rehab. His counsler will not release to me, says it's against the law. Do I have a right to these records?

A medical power of attorney should permit you the forms if they remain valid while you husband is able to act. The language needs tobe reviewed.
