Legal Question in Health Care Law in New York
my wife is locked on a mental ward, and her doctor will not let me visit, or take her home (we both want her home). her doctor will not even speak to me, and never has. my wife is mentally ill, and is too weak-willed to assert herself, this has been going on for 5 months. what can i do?

How did she get on the psych ward in the first place? Was this an Article 9 involuntary confinement or an Article 81 guardianship? You should file a guardianship petition, that's what you should do. But you have to see a lawyer first and go over the facts.
