Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Adjusting status as the spouse of a us citizen when having been sent a deportati
In 1989 I came to the US. In 1990 they found out I was working and tried to deport me. I never received the notice, and never went to the hearing. I have been married to a US citizen for 8 years and have 2 children. Can My husband file the I-130 for me and can I adjust status? Or is the deportation a bar?
Thank you.

If you didn't receive a notice to appear how did you find out that there was a deportation hearing which you didn't appear at?
I advise you seek legal counsel.
