Can I apply for H1 B workin visa

I am a foreign pharmacy graduate and I am on F1 visa. I have an offer from a non prophit organization deals with mental retarded and disable people to work for it and they will apply to H1 working visa for me. but the manager of the organization and I hve a concern about if the immigration will accept to give me H1 visa to work in this place. By the way they have people who are working overthere one of them is graduated from medicine school and another one is a teacher.

Generally,petitions for new H-1B employment are exempt from the cap if the aliens will work at the defined institutions of higher education or a related or affiliated nonprofit entities, or at nonprofit research organizations or governmental research organizations. Thus, employers may continue to file petitions for these exempt H-1B categories regardless of H-1B visa number availability.
