Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
get back on f-1 status
How do i adjust my status as i have been out of status from f-1 visa for more than a year. is there anyway i can get back on status? What is the best solution in my case?

If you entered the country legally and have an immediate relative who can petition on your behalf, or you qualify under section 245(i) if the INA, you may be able to file for permanent residency.
You should consult with an immigration lawyer to assess your possibilities.
