Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Citizenship
My mother became a U.S citizen before i turn 18 yrs old. But no one told her that she can file for me. Am I still eligible to become a citizen of the U.S through her or do I need to start the proccess myself?

Re: Citizenship
You don't supply enough info to know. Are you a permanent resident of the US? Were you in her physical and legal custody at the time? What date did yout mother become a USC? You could have become a USC by operation of law. Or, it could be too late. Specific info is needed because the Child Citizen ship Act of 2000 changed things on 2/27/2001.
