Citizenship Qualification

Hello all,

I have a quick question for you.I am a permanent resident in US since 1998.I got arrested on charges of ''Solicitaion for Prostitution'' in Dec 2000 but went to Pre Trial Diversion Program and State dropped the charges against me (Case was drooped by DA office).I want to know if I can apply for citizenship.Thanks in advance

Yes. If the case was dismissed, then you are technically 'innocent'. It did not happen. Under NY law not only are you 'innocent', but you also have the right to state that you were never arrested or charged with this crime.

May I add, what were you thinking? What kind of nice person will want to be with you if you spend your time with prostitutes? What kind of diseases are you exposing yourself to? In addition, do you realize that you are investing in organized crime? (drugs, corruption, etc). Truly, this is not something for a grown-up man to do.
