convicted of misprision; can i become a citizen?
I was convicted of misprision in june 06, and given 2 years on probation,am i still eligible for citizenship? should i try to apply or to i have to wait till after my probation ends?

While I would need more details about your conviction and your eligibility for citizenship in the first place, the USCIS generally does not make a decision on a naturalization application until the probation period is over, as the fact that you are on probation would be considered an issue related to good moral character, which is one of the requirements of becoming a citizen under INA sec 316.
In light of the fact that you have a conviction, you should definitely consider consulting an immigration attorney, because the conviction may eventually trigger removal proceedings.
