Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

dwi involved with immigration

I have a friend who is an illegal immigrant, living in new york. This man is a hard worker, who hasn't gotten into any problems, he was arrested for driving illegally while being intoxicated. i would like to know what can happen to him

If your friend is here illegally and has no claim for asylum or has not been here for 10 years and can not successfully claim severe hardship to a US citizen if he left the USA, he will likely be deported.

If he has been here over 10 years he should immediately seek to retain an immigration attorney to see if he has any claim against being deported.
