Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Filling for Citizenship
I got my approval to remove the
condition for my permanent
residency on May 18,2009. If I have
been married since 2005 and still
married, and I got my Green Card on
January 19, 2007 when can I file my
Citizenship? PLEASE hope you can
answer my inquiry. THANK YOU!

Re: Filling for Citizenship
You can file your application for naturalization after you have been a lawful permanent resident for two years and nine months, as long as you are still married to your US citizen spouse who petitioned you for residency.
Re: Filling for Citizenship
You may file for citizenship 3 months prior to January 19, 2010.
