Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

H1 visa

I am on F1 student visa. I am a pahrmacist. I have an offer to work in a non prophit organization for mental retarded and disability peaple. Can I apply for that postion or the immigration will not accept me as a pharmacist to work in such a postion in this organization.

You might be eligible for H-1B Work visa. More information is needed to determine exactly what you qualify for.

You may be eligible to work with an H-1B for this employer, if it is a non-profit affiliated with an institution of higher education. You did not provide that information or other relevant information to determine if you would be able to apply for an H-1B now, or if you would have to wait until next April for an October 1, 2009 start date.
