Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Helping my husband enter the us
I have been a permenent resident in the US for 20 years, living in New York. I would like to bring my husband of three months into the US to live with me and my children, but I am hearing so many mixed up stories . Is this possible as a legal resident?

While it is possible for you to petition for your husband as a permanent resident, the process will take over 4 years. There is currently legislation in Congress that might help you. However, because of the politics involved, it may or may not be enacted into law. Your best choice under your circumstances is to naturalize.
