Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Illegal alien married
My daughter married an illegal alien, who entered the country when he was a minor-it was not an overstay. At the time of their marriage he was of legal age. Is there anything that they can do to change his status?

He may be eligible to change his status in the US depending on his parents immigration history in the US.

Re: Illegal alien married
It depends on whether your daughetr is a U.S. Citizen, and how exactly her husband entered USA. He might have a chance to adjust his status and become a legal resident.

If he originally entered the country legally, he should be able to adjust his status (get a green card).
