Re: immgration

There are several forms that need to be completed to sponsor a spouse.

The first form is the

I-130 (this is the form to be completed by the citizen).

If the spouse is here in the USA, then you should also file an

1-485. This is the form to adjust your spouse's status to permanent residency.

Along with these forms you will also need to file an 1-864. This form is the affidavit of support that needs to be completed by the sponsoring citizen.

You also both need to file an G325A, which is a biography of your occupation and residency for the last 5 years.

If your spouse would like an interim work visa, whislt waiting for the permanent residency to be granted an 1-765 needs to be filed.

Along with all of these forms there are several supporting documents that are necessary for your appliaction. It is important that you fully and accurately complete these forms or the Immigration Service could return your forms or at worse deny your petition.

If you would like assistance completing these forms please feel welcome to contact me at my office.
