Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

My friend will be getting married to a soldier in June of this year. He will be petitioning for her some persons are telling her that with in one year she will have her permanent residence because spouse of military get through very fast. Is this true or does she have to wait normal time like any body else.

Our offices represented spouses of soldiers and under our experience these cases were completed within 3-6 months, even when U.S. spouse was not presented at the interview due to his/her duty.
At the same time, we didn�t find any difference in the time line between soldiers families and others.
