Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Immigration through marriage
I am currently in america on a student visa, I got married and we are ready to file al the papers....My question is, I already applied and was granted for employment authorization, and it is valid til february 2009. Do I have to file for it again once i file my I-130 and the rest of the forms...and most importantly, will i be able to work while waiting for my new employment authorization seeing that I already have a valid EAD from my OPT filed when i was in college.

Re: Immigration through marriage
Based on the information that you have provided, you should apply for a new EAD card. You can use the old one until you receive the EAD based on your marriage.
