Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

My nephew is here in the USA attending college, but he actually is my son which he doesnt know, because i gave him up due to the age i had him. However, i want to tell him he is my son, and do the blood test to prove it. So i want to know if i can petition for him to be a citizen. is this possible?

If you are a female and were already a US citizen when your son was born, then your son could have a claim to US citizenship provided you could have met the one year transmission requirment. Otherwise, he could derive no immigration nor citizenship benefit from you becaue he was adopted.
