Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
i'm japanese citizen, planning to apply for J1 visa shortly. My fiancee, moroccan is now in US under tourist visa ( 10yrs multiple, max 6months stay) since 3 weeks. We are planning to get married and apply for J2 visa for him. My question is, if we marry while DS-2019 is on process, will it affect my J1 application? Anyway he can apply for J2 visa once I enter US but I'm wondering if we should marry after I enter US and apply for J2 visa followed by getting marriage license. Please advise...
