Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Came as a K2
Hi,
I came as a K2 with my father 5 years ago (who was a fiance). He got married to my step-mom, but later, they got divorced. I never received a green card.
Now, I want to get married to my boyfriend, who is a U.S. citizen - can he apply for my green card?
I heard that if K1 fiances don't get a green card through their fiances who invited them, they can't get a green card through anybody else. Is it true? Is it true for K2 (like me) as well?

Your spouse can apply for a green card for you after you are married.
