L-2 to Green Card
1.) Is it possible for L2 visa person to apply for GC through employer and initiate Green Card -processing - Change of Status, I485 etc within 10 months? or 2.) Is it true that an Attorny can help in change of status - I485, PERM etc without getting a job ?
3.) Secondly, any advise on which Non- Profit can help in Green Card processing in New York area or find a job..She is a Computer Science Engineer ?
4.) Thirdly, what is the legal proces ?
My husand L-1A visa expires 7 years in Sep 2009

An employer can sponsor an L-2 visa holder for his/her green card, but would likely have to go through the labor certification process. Has your husband, the L-1A holder, discussed the green card process with his employer? He probably would not be required to file a labor certification application for him. You and your husband should speak with an attorney who can advise you regarding your options so that you can stay in the US and apply for permanent residence.
