Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
I'm a legal resident and i have a situation. I have lived in the USA for over 6 yrs.. I have a young child in another country that i was unable to bring with me when i was granted my visa...at present i am now about to file for my citizenship and for her. Unfortunatley the home where my child is staying has become very hostile for her, i haven't filed any papers yet but i was wondering can i visit the US Embassy in my home country and probably get a temporary visa issued for my child to get her out of that situation while i continue to file for her here??

Hi, You may be able to bring the child here on a temporary visa or some sort of humanitarian basis, but there are pros and cons so it is advisable to consult an attorney to weigh all options.
