Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

How to become legal in the USA

I've migrated to US 10 years ago. I was 12 years old and came here to visit, since then I stayed in this country illegaly. But I've attended junior, high school and college since then. Are there any chances of my ever getting permanent residency here? What choices do I have? Could the court see from my point of view, since I was underage and was not responsible for my actions at such a young age to forsee just how much it would affect me later in life by staying here illegaly. But this is my home, english is like second nature to me. The country where I was born, Ukraine, is too unfamiliar to me by now. I could contribute more to this country if I was legal, because of my college background and work experience in this country. Please help.

Re: How to become legal in the USA

I understand your plight and it is a difficult one. The issue would be to determine what rights your immediate relatives have to stay in the States and to find a category for you to be able to apply for residency. I would need to meet with you to go over your situation to determine what can be done.

Please let me know if you would like to explore this further.

Kind regards,

Re: How to become legal in the USA

You are in a much better situation than you think. The illegal actions of your parents while you were 12 years old are not held against you personally in your application.

You can apply to become legal and, assuming you have no criminal record, your petition will likely be successful.

You are welcome to a consultation for no fee.
