I am a Canadian Citizen planning on marrying an american citizen. I want to marry in New York, in City Hall, Can I Do that without any problems? If so would i have to return to canada at any point after the marriage or could i just start petitioning to become a citizen of new york legally?

Re: Marriage
As long as you are here legally it should be ok. You will file to adjust your status to permanent resident.
Re: Marriage
Congratulations on your marriage. Providing your marriage is legitimate and you enter the USA legally you should not have any problems petitioning to become a resident of the USA. You can remain in the USA whilst your petition is being processed and the whole process should take approximately 6 -9 months. I can assist you preparing the petition.
