Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
I am married to US citizen, and we 3 children. I came to this country legalley 10 years ago. I had petition before from my sister, and later I got a deportation letter. Can I still get my residence through my husband after a deportation letter?

Before filing anything with USCIS, you should review your file, including the application your sister sent and your "deportation letter" with an attorney. He/she will be able to advise you with respect to whether you are eligible to file a new application with USCIS based on your marriage to a US citizen.

You should definately have immigration lawyer review all of your documents before filing a petition. In general, even if a person is in deportation proceedings, s/he is may still be eligible to adjust the status based on a marriage to US Citizen. It might be more difficult and will possibly require longer process, possibly immigration court involvment and separate marriage interview.
