Yes, it is possible to have a cosponsor sign an affidavit of support on your behalf. The cosponsor must be over 18 years old, be either a US citizen or permanent resident, and earn enough income to meet the poverty level guidelines.

Yes, you may have a joint sponsor so long as such sponsor is a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
We would recommend that you and your future husband have a personal consultation with our office or other competent immigration counsel. We charge $150 for a consultation (which amount would be applied to our reasonable fixed fees).

Re: marring a born american
If your husband to be does not have enough income for 3 of you, he still has to sign the Affidavit of Support and you can have an additional sponsor.
Re: marring a born american
Depending on your previous immigration history, once you are married, your husband will be able to sponsor you for your green card. However, if he does not earn more than 125% above the poverty guidelines, then you will have to have a joint sponsor sign an additional affidavit of support.
If you would like to discuss the process in additional detail, do not hesitate to contact me directly.
