Marring a woman from the dominican republic

I am a us citizen and want to marry my dominican girl friend if we get married in th DR does she get to come to the US faster ? how long before she can come here if we get married?

I agree with the previous attorney, a fiancee visa would probably be your quickest option. Your fiancee could also obtain a work visa sooner. You would also avoid the inconvenience of having your marriage certificate translated from Spanish to English if you get married in the US. It's about the same whether you apply for a fiancee visa or a K-3 spouse visa (after marrying her): 6 months for approval in the U.S. followed by consular processing abroad.

The fiancee visa may even be a bit faster since you avoid flying down to marry her there and waiting for the marriage certificate.
