Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
marrying a divorced immigrant
I want to marry a man who is currently married. He is planning to divorce his wife and marry me...but he has not gotten his greencard from that marriage. if he divorces her before he can file for citizenship and marries me in the meantime will he still be eligible to get his greencard?

He will not be eligible for his "Green Card" if he divorces prior to his card being issued.

He'll need to apply for green card through your sponsorship, assuming you are a US citizen.
